Technical support is our work

Alsalam Technical Support is an integral business unit that is a major provider of maintenance support to the aviation arms of the Saudi Arabian military. Our technical support services add another strategic dimension to aviation industry in the Kingdom.

Alsalam Aircraft Company’s Technical Support business unit provides aircraft maintenance support to the military throughout the kingdom. The first military business started in 1989 with Alsalam as a subcontractor to Boeing for the maintenance of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) fleet of E 3A AWACS and KE 3 tankers. Followed by Alsalam’s involvement in the F-15 program as a subcontractor to McDonnell Douglas Services.

Under the Technical Support Program (TSP), Alsalam provides fully qualified manpower whose primary functions are to advise, augment and assist RSAF personnel, provide training and perform functions that are not typically available in the RSAF force structure. Alsalam has maintained a close relationship with the Royal Saudi Armed Forces and continues to be a provider of Technical Support Services and Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) to RSAF aircraft.

In 1997 Alsalam began the Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) on RSAF Tornados The success of the Tornado program and the proven capabilities in PDM, modification and upgrade resulted in Alsalam being awarded the RSAF AWACS E-3A and KE3-A PDM in 2000, the RSAF F-15 PDM and helicopter in 2002 and the RSAF C-130 in 2007.
Alsalam had also provided  maintenance services to Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command (RSLFAC) helicopters.

Alsalam’s range of helicopter projects include: Bell 412, 212, 206 and 406, Black Hawk UH-60, Apache AH-64, as well as the Sikorsky ASH-3D (VIP).

Alsalam provides qualified, direct manning personnel (DPM) to augment, assist, train and actively support RSAF personnel in maintenance and rework operations as necessary. In addition, Alsalam also provides on-the-job training (OJT) for RSAF personnel.

Some of Alsalam outstanding facilities for military aircraft include:
• Dedicated hangars for PDM and modification.
• Fuel/ defuel hangar
• Corrosion Control Hangar
• Strip and paint hangars and sun shelters.

Today Alsalam is prime contractor for the RSAF F-15 TSP and the RSAF helicopter fleet. This places Alsalam as the major provider of maintenance support to the aviation arms of the Saudi Arabian military.
